Our office is located in downtown Oak Park, IL, less than 10 miles west of Chicago. We are conveniently located next to the CTA Oak Park Green Line stop. There is paid parking directly in front of our office and free three-hour parking on Grove St (just around the corner).

We sure do! We utilize a secure, HIPPA-Compliant Telehealth platform called Doxy.me. All of Relate Psychology’s providers offer a remote therapy option.
-
Currently our providers are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) PPO plans, Aetna PPO plans, and Cigna PPO plans. If you are unsure as to whether your plan has a copay or deductible, we offer a complimentary verification of insurance benefits prior to your first session.
-
Relate Psychology offers out-of-pocket sessions at a rate of $175 per 50 minute session. If you do not have insurance, or have a different insurance provider than Blue Cross Blue Shield, we can provide a “Super Bill,” which you may submit to your insurance provider. Oftentimes, other insurance providers will offer partial reimbursement to patients who see out-of-network providers.

Your first appointment is all about getting to know you—no pressure, no judgment. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to work on, and any history that feels important to share.
I may ask some questions to get a clearer picture of what’s going on, but there’s no rush—we go at your pace.
It’s less about having the “right” answers and more about starting a conversation. Think of it as the first step in figuring things out together.

That really depends on you, your goals, your pace, and what you're hoping to get out of the process. Some people come in for a few months to work through something specific, while others find value in ongoing support over a longer period of time.
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. We’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy is feeling useful and aligned with where you’re at. You’re always in the driver’s seat, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. Many clients have met with us for years, throughout many of life’s up’s and down’s.

A Good Faith Estimate is a document (or email in our case) that outlines the expected cost of your therapy services. It’s part of the No Surprises Act, designed to make sure you’re not caught off guard by unexpected bills.
If you're paying out of pocket (not using insurance), you'll receive a GFE before we begin services or anytime you request one. It includes things like session fees, how often we expect to meet, and an estimate of the total cost over time. It's not a binding contract, just a transparent way to help you plan for your care with no surprises.
