ADDICTION THERAPY IN OAK PARK

Modern support for the realities of addiction and recovery.

Stuck in the cycle of addiction and wondering why you feel further away from yourself?

Substance use often begins as a way to cope—numbing pain, stress, and emotions that feel too heavy to carry. But over time, what once brought relief can lead to deeper disconnection from the person you want to be.

Therapy offers a space to slow down and understand what’s really going on. Together, we can explore what’s driving the cycle, build healthier ways to cope, and help you reconnect with yourself in a way that feels grounded in lasting change.

You’re tired of feeling caught in this cycle:

  • You want to feel more in control of your choices and your life

  • You’re ready to reconnect with yourself and the people who matter most

  • You know there’s a better way and you’re ready to find it

What does addiction therapy look like?

Addiction therapy is a process that supports you in exploring your relationship with substances without shame, pressure, or judgment. A core part of this work involves Motivational Interviewing (MI), an approach that helps you clarify your goals, explore your readiness for change, and strengthen your motivation from the inside out.

We also focus on identifying the patterns and triggers that tend to lead to substance use. By understanding what drives the cycle, you gain greater self-awareness and can begin to plan more effectively for those moments. From there, we work on building healthier, more sustainable coping strategies.

My approach is rooted in a harm reduction model, which means that therapy is not “one-size-fits-all.” Whether your goal is abstinence, reducing use, or making safer choices, we’ll work together to create a plan that aligns with your values and your life. The goal is always progress, not perfection!

WE want you to know:

You don’t have to navigate this alone.

We’ll untangle what’s going on, find better ways to cope, and get you back to feeling more like yourself—minus the chaos.
