RELATIONSHIP THERAPY IN OARK PARK
Improve communication & restore connection in your most important relationships.
You love each other, but things feel hard right now.
Conflict and emotional disconnection in close relationships can take a profound toll on an individual’s well-being. When our primary relationships (whether with partners, family, or close friends) feel strained or distant, it can leave us feeling anxious, rejected, or alone. These experiences often affect not just our mood but also our sense of safety, identity, and self-worth. People may find themselves carrying this emotional weight into other parts of their lives such as work, parenting, or friendships, often without even realizing how deeply they're being impacted.
Human beings are wired for connection, and having strong, supportive relationships plays a critical role in our mental health. When we feel emotionally seen, valued, and understood, our ability to regulate emotions, cope with stress, and experience joy is significantly enhanced. On the other hand, unresolved relational patterns like avoidance, defensiveness, or fear of vulnerability can keep people stuck in cycles of conflict or emotional shutdown that reinforce isolation.
Building or rebuilding emotional closeness requires courage, curiosity, and a willingness to be vulnerable. Therapy can offer a space to explore these relational dynamics with compassion and clarity. It allows individuals to understand their own emotional needs and communication patterns more deeply, while also learning how to connect with others in ways that are authentic, grounded, and meaningful.
You’re tired of feeling caught in this cycle:
It feels emotionally unsafe and unresolved
It undermines self-worth and emotional energy
It reinforces feelings of loneliness and rejection
how i can help
Therapy can help you heal, connect, and grow.
As a relational therapist, I help clients explore how their early experiences and emotional patterns shape the way they relate to others today. Many people come to therapy feeling disconnected, unsure of themselves, or stuck in unhelpful communication cycles. Together we work to understand these patterns and build new ways of relating that foster emotional safety.
I use a blend of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic therapy to help clients deepen emotional insight and strengthen coping strategies. This approach supports clients in becoming more emotionally aware and able to show up in relationships with greater clarity and presence.
Clients often leave therapy feeling more secure, less reactive, and better equipped to manage conflict and connection in ways that align with their values and needs.
